Goal Setting Mistakes

“It’s not about today. It’s about what our companies and our businesses can do tomorrow.”

- Shelagh Cummins

If you struggle with goals — either setting them or trying to achieve them — then this is an episode you won’t want to miss!

As a business coach, I notice that many women entrepreneurs set goals that are far too small or limited, holding them back from the incredible power moves that they’re capable of making. On the other hand, while other women may be great at setting big, bold, audacious goals, they aren’t always skilled at creating realistic timelines to match — or at separating their professional (or even personal) worth from their ability to reach those goals.

It’s important to find that “Goldilocks” sweet spot when it comes to your goals: ambitious enough to reflect your big vision for your business, aligned with your mission and purpose, paired with a timeline that is actually achievable, and intended to help you create the life you want not only today, but in the future.

In‌ ‌this‌ ‌episode of the Road to Seven podcast,‌ ‌you’ll discover:‌ ‌

  • Why your goals should not only fuel your today, but your tomorrow as well

  • Why I have shifted from a revenue goal to an “assets under management” goal

  • How to pinpoint the type of goal that will actually get you to where you want to be
